Therapeutic Riding Program
The Therapeutic Riding Program utilizes communityvolunteers as side walkers and horse handlers to assist our Certified PATH Instructors in therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing moderate to severe physical or developmental disabilities.
The therapeutic goal is to improve cognitive, motor and physical functioning in daily pursuits along with promoting patience, trust, positive communication, self value, anger management, personal empowerment and stress management.
Hoofprints on the Heart has been serving people with disabilities since 2006 with amazing results. The bond between rider, horse, volunteers and Instructor is a collective effort toward the therapeutic goals of the rider. The result is success shared by all.
